Weather is looking a bit wet so we may not get the patio day we hoped for but that's ok. Come meet some new friends and enjoy a beverage anyways! As always, FTR is open to all, no registration required. We hope to see you there!

Sometimes meeting new people and trying to network can be intimidating but hopefully getting to practice (some happy hour drinks dont hurt either!) makes it just a bit easier! December's FTR is going to BE LIT! Join WID at @mi December's FTR is going to BE LIT! Join WID at @millers_and_rossi to make your own 'Holidazzled' Cactus Pal. Local artist and @fruitsofourlabor.co workshop leader Nicoleta Dumville will help us paint our cacti in festive colors then accessorize with tiny scarves, beanies, and holiday lights to complete their holidazzled style!

Registration is required - this will sell out so don't delay! Drink specials and snacks will be available for purchase separately.

Introducing 8x8 Speaker Sierra Voss | Plant Design Introducing 8x8 Speaker Sierra Voss | Plant Design

Sierra Voss has degrees in Environmental Studies and Biology. She spent her early years immersed in biodiversity studies that took her around the world from Sierra Leone to Fiji. She landed in the Environmental Film space helping to create Emmy-Winning films "Chasing Ice" and "Chasing Coral''. This led her down the path of becoming a set designer where she helped design and build over 400 commercial sets. When she emerged from the film world she set out to create a career that merged her love for plants with her creative design background. Root By Design is a female-owned business that provides interior plantscaping & expert plant care. It was created from the belief that biophilic design is an essential element in interior decorating. Plants make people happy, healthy, and productive. That’s why she believes a resilient future includes the integration of nature into built spaces.

Kastle Waserman is a writer and marketing consultant with over a decade of experience as a copywriter and marketing strategist in the corporate world. She holds a degree in marketing from UCLA. She is also a journalist and former editor/reporter at the Los Angeles Times and currently writes for Westword, Avid Lifestyle and Su Casa Magazines. 
She believes in the power of story to help design businesses and individuals better connect with clients and share how they can improve people’s lives.

Introducing 8x8 Speaker Kaci Taylor | Architecture Introducing 8x8 Speaker Kaci Taylor | Architecture

Kaci is a licensed architect in California, Colorado, and New Mexico who received her Bachelor's of Arts in Architecture and Community design from the University of San Francisco, and her Master’s of Architecture from Tulane University. She's driven by the desire to create spaces that positively impact people's lives, and designing environments that are made to enhance the wellbeing of others.

This passion led to the formation of her own practice, THE5WH, that focuses on creating inclusive and equitable environments through a co-creation design approach. Through her practice, Kaci aims to lead the way to a physically and emotionally healthier world. Her experience ranges from high rise market rate multi-family housing, affordable housing renovations, boutique hotels, breweries, and other community based spaces. Kaci serves on the board for the Denver Architecture Foundation and Radian.

As founder and CEO of Tribe Development, Ashley offers more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate along Colorado’s Front Range. Her signature development approach ensures her projects set the standard for function, design and positive interaction in their communities.

Ashley is a proud member of the Chickasaw nation who brings a unique voice and distinct perspective to the table. She believes in creating and cultivating community by looking beyond the physical elements of the built environment to consider its greater impact on the people who use it. A graduate of both Colorado State University and the University of Denver, Ashley’s professional expertise includes identifying new market opportunities, guiding entitlement and municipal coordination, design and construction oversight and financial and legal management.  Over the course of her career, she has developed more than $1 billion in assets.

Introducing 8x8 Speaker Elena Sabinson | Environme Introducing 8x8 Speaker Elena Sabinson | Environmental Design 

Elena Sabinson is a design researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder engaged in transdisciplinary work at the intersection of environmental design, psychology, and emerging technologies. She received a PhD in Human Behavior & Design from Cornell University, where she worked in the Architectural Robotics Lab. There, she designed and evaluated therapeutic soft robotic surfaces embedded in environments to support emotional wellbeing. As a neurodivergent researcher, Elena is passionate about neurodiversity and design, conducting research that aims to help all people flourish across the full spectrum of human experiences.

Introducing 8x8 Speaker Beth Rosa | Environmental Introducing 8x8 Speaker Beth Rosa | Environmental Graphic Design

Beth is a Principal and the Design Director at ArtHouse Design in Denver, Colorado. 
Partial to experiential graphic design and wayfinding signage for hospitals, multi-family properties and city streetscapes, Beth integrates visual expression with storytelling to shape the idea of place. Her passion for experiential graphic design is rooted in the powerful impact it can have on people by shaping how they perceive and interact with spaces.

Beth has won multiple distinctions for her design work from Graphis, GDUSA American Graphic Design Awards, HOW International Design Awards and the City of Denver Mayor’s Design Awards.
